I Wouldn't Have Missed It by Henry Longhurst

£10.00

I Wouldn't Have Missed It is Henry Longhurst's second autobiographical book, first published in 1945. The majority of the book is a memoir of his experiences during the Second World War.

The book details Longhurst's time in the British Army during the war, from 1939 to 1945.  It is a series of his personal observations and reflections on the scenes, people, trials, and delights that he encountered while serving.  While Longhurst is best known as a golf writer, this volume contains "not much golf" and instead focuses on his wartime and political stories.  It follows his first autobiographical work, It Was Good While It Lasted, which was published in 1941.
