R Forgan & Son was a historic and highly regarded golf club manufacturing company founded in St Andrews, Scotland, considered the oldest in the world, with a legacy dating back to the mid-19th century.
Royal Appointment: In 1863, Forgan was appointed clubmaker to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales, a prestigious title that allowed the company to stamp its clubs with the Prince of Wales plume of feathers. This mark changed to a "King's Crown" in 1901 when the Prince became King Edward VII.
Leather face insert, brass sole plate, Scare-Head (Scare-Neck) spliced hickory shaft, stamped "R FORGAN & SON ST ANDREWS", whipping all in good order, and original Leather grip.
