A right-handed hickory shafted Tom Stewart 3 Iron (Mid-iron), specifically a "Special" model made for the renowned professional Jack White of Sunningdale.  Dating circa 1920.

Tom Stewart (1862–1933) of St Andrews is arguably the most famous "cleekmaker" (iron head maker) in golf history. His "Pipe" mark—the clay pipe stamped on the back of the head—is a hallmark of quality.  Jack White was the 1904 Open Champion and the head professional at Sunningdale Golf Club (1901–1926).
