A boxed sleeve of 3 vintage Titleist DT (Durable Titleist) golf balls (Number 1's), manufactured by the Acushnet Sales Company, circa 1970's.
Size: 1.62 inches (British/Small ball), which was the standard in the UK and internationally before the R&A and USGA standardized the "American" 1.68-inch ball in 1990.
Construction: These feature a Durable SURLYN cover, which was a significant innovation in the 1970s because it was much more resistant to "scuffing" or "smiling" (cutting the cover with an iron) than the older balata covers.
The box is in good condition and the balls are in mint unused condition.
