Gary Wolstenholme MBE is a renowned English golfer, widely considered Great Britain & Ireland's greatest ever amateur player, known for his extensive and highly successful amateur career, winning numerous amateur titles, including the prestigious British Amateur Championship twice (1991 and 2003); as well as representing teams England and GB&I, he is the all-time leading points scorer for the Great Britain & Ireland team in the Walker Cup, with 6 appearances (between 1995 & 2005) including 4 victories. Turned professional at the age of 47 and has multiple Senior Tour (now Legends Tour) victories and was awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) in 2007 for his services to sport.
